My dad’s family owns a dairy farm near Minatare, Nebraska, and I learned a lot growing up there. We always had chores to do—everything from hoeing beets to feeding cattle. We also grew and preserved our own foods. Those are valuable lessons that not everyone has the opportunity to learn, and they instilled in me a love and passion for rural America at a young age.

Before coming to the Center, I spent almost two decades in mortgage servicing origination and worked on underwriting, as well as spent four years selling digital and print advertising at my local newspaper.

All of these experiences help me in my role with Center to offer small business owners financing to make their dreams come true. As a small business owner myself, I understand where they’re coming from. My goal is to help people, and make the Panhandle more vibrant and full of life.

In my spare time, I run my freeze-dried candy business, Sugar Shuggah. I’m grateful to have my children and grandchildren nearby, and spend as much time as possible with them. I also love dogs and raise Doodles and French Bulldogs.
