Randolph to host small business trainings

RANDOLPH, NEBRASKA – Entrepreneurs and business owners in the Randolph area are invited to a series of workshops focused on small business training. These free events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and Lied Randolph Public Library.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at Lied Randolph Public Library, 111 N. Douglas, in Randolph.

  • Introduction to Publisher: Thursday, Sept. 12, from 1 to 4 p.m.
  • Basic QuickBooks (two-day event): Thursdays, Sept. 12 and 19, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Thursday, Sept. 26, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Thursday, Oct. 3, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“There is always something new to learn about QuickBooks and Excel,” said Anna Pratt, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “In the publisher class, attendees will learn how to utilize templates, photos, shapes, and other tools to spice up their designs.”

Diann Ballard from db-Consulting, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska, will instruct the course. The use of laptops and software will be provided.

Registration is required one day in advance of each session.
