SARGENT, NEBRASKA – Entrepreneurs are invited to learn about social media tools during a free workshop organized by the Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center in collaboration with Sargent Chamber of Commerce.

“Social Media Strategies” will be held Monday, March 25, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Sargent Chamber of Commerce, in Sargent.

During this session, participants will learn best practices, effective utilization of the basic page components, postings (what and when), terminology, scheduling, and how to upload photos, as well as have the opportunity to ask questions.

“It’s important to know where your customers are most active, and then you need to be comfortable reaching out to them via that platform," said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “This session will enhance business owners’ knowledge of the various social media sites.”

Diane Siefkes, owner of dkSolutions, and an online marketing consultant from Lincoln, Nebraska, will present the course.
