Community conversation with Iowa Sen. Wahls set in Solon

SOLON, IOWA  – Constituents in Iowa’s Senate District 37 are invited to a community conversation with newly-elected Sen. Zach Wahls. The event is set for Feb. 10, at 11 a.m., at the Solon Community Center, 313 S. Iowa St., in Solon, Iowa.

Hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs, the event is free and open to the public.

Sen. Wahls’ district includes all of Cedar County and parts of Johnson County in eastern Iowa, comprising of the communities of Tipton, Mechanicsville, West Branch, and Solon, among others.

“We are excited to host Sen. Wahls to discuss the many legislative challenges facing the 88th general assembly,” said Katie Rock, policy associate at the Center for Rural Affairs in Nevada, Iowa. “Clean energy development, water quality, and a sustainable state budget are key to growing Iowa’s future, and we’re looking forward to discussing these issues with the senator.”

Attendees are encouraged to come prepared with topics or questions they wish to discuss.
