PLAINVIEW, NEBRASKA – A Basic QuickBooks workshop will be offered to local entrepreneurs and business owners on Wednesday, Dec. 19. This free event is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center and Plainview Economic Development.

The session will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Plainview Public Library, 209 N. Pine Street, in Plainview. Computers will be provided.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of an entrepreneur’s business,” said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Small business owners will learn how to utilize the software for tracking their income and expenses, set up company files, create customers, vendors, run reports, and utilize the banking features.

Diann Ballard will lead the course. Registration is required by Dec. 17.
