Loup City, Neb.  - A FREE online marketing strategies workshop for small businesses and entrepreneurs will be offered in Loup City on Sept. 26, 2016.

Diane Siefkes, a social media consultant from Lincoln and owner of dkSolutions, will be presenting.

“Many small business owners get caught up trying to use social media but then forget the basic necessity of having a broader online presence,” says Monica Braun, Center for Rural Affairs Women's Business Center director. “81% of shoppers conduct online searches before buying. What will your potential clients find out about you?”

Braun continued, “During this session we’ll discuss building your online relationships using websites, email marketing and social media. We've blocked out time to answer your business specific questions. If you want to learn more about Facebook and other online marketing tools, this interactive session is for you!”

What: Online Marketing Strategies

When and Where:
Monday, Sept. 26, 2016
6 to 9 p.m.
Loup City Community Center
803 O St., Loup City, NE 68853

Previous workshop participant Rachel Koller commented, “Last spring I attended an online marketing and social media workshop in Cambridge, Nebraska - an event that would help me quickly realize just how imperative and beneficial strategic marketing plans are. This event was loaded with the best tips, tricks, and resources to not only build, but continuously grow your business, one of which has substantially increased the traffic on my photography website thanks to learning to link or tag your website when you post on social media. The recurring visits to my website is simple proof this works! I would definitely recommend this workshop to anyone who has started or is planning to start a business.”

There is no charge for this workshop but pre-registration is requested in order to have adequate materials.

Co-sponsors for these workshops include the Loup City Chamber of Commerce and Sherman County Economic Development along with the Center for Rural Affairs Women's Business Center and GROW Nebraska.

The Center provides lending, training, networking, and technical assistance opportunities for start-up and existing small businesses.

The Center receives funding from the Nebraska Business and Innovation Act, Community Development Block Grants through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Small Business Administration, U.S. Department of Agriculture, Peter Kiewit Foundation and other sources. The WBC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
