LYONS, NEBRASKA - For the third year, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) invites entrepreneurs to compete and showcase innovative products and services at InnovateHER. The competition calls on businesses or services that impact and empower lives of women and families.

The Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center will host Nebraska’s statewide challenge. The deadline to submit applications is May 19, 2017.

Five finalists will be selected to participate in a marketing pitch competition in Lincoln, Neb., on June 2, 2017. Finalists from the local competitions will move on to compete at National InnovateHER for the top three awards and a total of $70,000 in prizes.

“InnovateHER provides an opportunity for participants to gain valuable input and feedback on their innovative business ideas even if they are not selected to move forward to national competition,” said Monica Braun, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director.
