GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA - Registration is now open for the fourth annual Women Entrepreneur Conference. The one-day conference will be held on April 12, 2017, in Grand Island at Boarders Inn & Suites, 3333 Ramada Road. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and close by 3:30 p.m.

“The upcoming Women Entrepreneur Conference will bring together successful and aspiring women business owners to support and encourage one another,” said Monica Braun of the Center for Rural Affairs. “This event will provide an opportunity for sharing and networking, which is what the entrepreneurs we work with say they want most.”

Sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center and the Small Business Administration, the conference features resources for entrepreneurs and includes lunch.

“Women entrepreneurs will provide expertise on timely, relevant topics that are critical for successful, sustainable small businesses,” Braun said.

Three sessions are on the schedule: “Customer Discovery” will help business owners identify their “perfect customer”; “Maximizing Your Marketing Dollars” will focus on branding and print and digital marketing; and “Small Business Legal Issues” will cover employment law issues and liability protection issues. The day wraps up with a panel of small business owners.

“When women entrepreneurs come forward to share their experiences, it is inspiring to others who are working to create a successful business in rural Nebraska,” Braun said.

Those interested in attending the fourth annual Women Entrepreneur Conference can find an agenda and register online at cfra.org/events.
