LYONS, NEBRASKA – Anyone working or interested in the food sector in Nebraska is invited to attend the Nebraska Food Council’s winter meeting. This free event is hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs.

The meeting will take place online on Monday, Jan. 25, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

“This will be the first meeting of 2021 and is open to any Nebraskans interested,” said Justin Carter, project associate with the Center for Rural Affairs and coordinator for the Nebraska Food Council. “We’ll go over a brief introduction to the Nebraska Food Council and welcome new members.”

The meeting agenda also includes discussing policy priorities such as farm to school, Double Up Food Bucks, and actions to assist small meat processors, as well as the 2021 Regional Food Systems Summit with University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension.
