Business Plan Basics training set in North Platte

North Platte, NE -  The Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center in collaboration with Mid Plains Center for Enterprise is planning a five-week Business Plan Basics course starting April 26, 2016.
 
The course will be held on Tuesday evenings in April and May from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in room 202 at Mid Plains Community College-North Campus, 1101 Halligan Drive, North Platte, NE. The instructor for the course will be Kathy Bourque, Small Biz Coach, Leadership Dev., Speaker, Training Facilitator.
 
The workshop series includes the following key topics: Marketing, Promotion/Advertising, Financial Management, Legal Structures/Contracts, and Business Online Presence. The Center collaborates with the NxLeveL Education Organization utilizing their curriculum called "Growing Your Business."
 
"Planning is a key to success in business, and the five hands-on exploratory sessions are designed for those thinking of starting a business and for small business owners that want to create a business plan or update one.  Sessions will cover important information that can assist in completing a business plan," commented Nancy Flock, Loan Specialist.

A registration fee is required for the course and includes the course materials and other resource materials. The deadline to register is Thursday, April 21.

The Center for Rural Affairs provides lending, training, networking, and technical assistance opportunities for start-up and existing small businesses. Business owners that complete the course and the business plan are eligible for the Center's Business Plan Basics Boost Loan.
 
The Center receives funding from the Nebraska Business and Innovation Act through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, Small Business Administration, United States Department of Agriculture, and other sources. The Women's Business Center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
