In my role, I work closely with entrepreneurs, particularly women and Latino business owners, to provide resources, training, and guidance that helps them grow and succeed. Whether it's hosting conferences, creating programs, or connecting people with the tools they need, my job lets me focus on empowering individuals to build a legacy in their communities.

My personal values and professional experiences align closely with the Center’s mission of supporting rural communities. I’m passionate about helping others reach their potential, and believe that strong communities start with strong individuals. Being part of a team that works toward creating opportunities and fostering growth in rural areas is incredibly fulfilling.

Prior to coming to the Center, I worked with Grand Island Public Schools in the newcomers program, supporting students and families as they transitioned into the community. I also worked in an immigration office, helping with asylum cases and collaborating with an attorney focused on criminal law.

Additionally, I co-owned a business with my sister where we helped entrepreneurs connect with services and resources, organized networking events, and supported them in their journeys to success. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities entrepreneurs face, particularly in underserved communities.

Growing up in Bucerías, Nayarit, Mexico, a small town rich in community and culture, taught me the value of close-knit relationships and hard work. Rural America resonates with me because it embodies similar values; resilience, connection, and opportunity. Supporting rural communities allows me to honor my roots while making a meaningful difference.

I’m fortunate to have a loving husband and three active kids. I enjoy watching them shine in their seasonal sports, from basketball and football to wrestling, cross country, and track. As a family, we enjoy spending time outdoors, and I especially love nature walks. While I miss the ocean and walks on the beach, I’ve come to appreciate the beauty of Nebraska’s natural landscapes.
