LYONS, NEBRASKA – Business owners interested in learning best practices on how to navigate through the pandemic are invited to three online events organized by the Center for Rural Affairs.
“During these times, businesses are forced to be flexible," said Jessica Campos, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “These workshops teach attendees how to prepare, respond, and recover from various situations stemming from COVID-19.”
“Defensa Sanitaria y Desinfección Preventiva,” a two-part series on learning how to clean businesses properly in the event of infectious diseases, will occur on Tuesday, June 16, and Thursday, June 18, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Mabel Alarcon-Craven will instruct the course in Spanish. Registration is due by June 15. This session will be offered at a later date in English.
“The Risk and Mitigation of Cyber Threats in Remote Customer Service or Telework Practices” is set for Wednesday, July 1, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., and will discuss the risk of remote workstations, as well as the ways to mitigate cyber threats from infecting your businesses' networks while employees continue to telework. Kayla Elliot will instruct the course. Registration is due June 29.
“Management and Practice of Telework to Reduce Possible Transmission of COVID-19” is a three-part series addressing how businesses owners and management can adapt to teleworking environments, overcome limited external events and activities for business promotion, and capitalize business exposure through social presence. This series will take place on Wednesdays, July 8, 15, and 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Kayla Elliot will instruct the course. Registration is due July 6.
