GENEVA, NEBRASKA – Community members are invited to a conversation about Nebraska state policy on Tuesday, June 18, in Geneva, Nebraska. The event will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Geneva Public Library, located at 1043 G St.
Hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs, the event is free.
The public is encouraged to engage with staff about property taxes, Medicaid expansion, and more. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions about the impact of state legislation in their communities and explore how to advocate for change.
Center for Rural Affairs policy manager, Jordan Rasmussen, will provide context and analysis about a number of bills passed during the recently adjourned legislative session and topics that will be deliberated during the interim.
“This legislative session, lawmakers have debated topics that impact the lives of all Nebraskans,” said Rasmussen. “From Medicaid expansion to property tax relief, we want to make sure Nebraskans are informed of the decisions made in Lincoln on their behalf.”
