GRAND ISLAND AND LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Those interested in seeing conservation practices in action are invited to tour multiple sites in the rural Grand Island and Lincoln areas.
Two free events will be hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs:
- Tuesday, July 2, 2 to 4 p.m.

“We will check out wetland reserves, prairie plantings, pollinator habitats, fields where cover crops have been used, and some structural changes that folks made with conservation in mind,” said Kirstin Bailey, project associate at the Center for Rural Affairs. “We will rent vehicles to check out these sites, identified by the NRCS.”
Attendees can bring their own vehicles if they prefer. Space is limited, so if guests are bringing friends or a spouse, RSVP for all attendees.
