LYON, NEBRASKA – Nebraska entrepreneurs and small business managers in the panhandle region are invited to attend a free, sector-specific virtual workshops sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs.
Academies will be offered in Spanish and held in multi-day events:
- “Restaurant Academy: How to Start Your Business,” Mondays, July 12 and 19, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. MT.
- “Restaurant Academy: Understanding Costs, Expenses, and Profits,” Mondays, July 26 and Aug. 2, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. MT.
- “Restaurant Academy: How to Manage Your Business,” Monday, Aug. 9, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. MT.
- “Cleaning Academy,” Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 10, 12, 17, 19, 24, 26, and 31, and Sept. 2, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. MT.
- “Restaurant Academy: Hygiene and Food Safety,” Monday, Aug. 16, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. MT.
“The academies bring education to entrepreneurs looking to establish a business in that sector,” said Jessica Campos, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center Director. “They turn their business idea into a plan while developing business skills and learning what is needed to succeed in that industry, such as financials, marketing, management, regulations, and permits and licensing requirements."
