SOUTHWEST IOWA – Two additional gatherings for southwest Iowa food producers and others interested in local foods have been scheduled for January.

The free networking and socializing events are hosted by Golden Hills RC&D and the Center for Rural Affairs.

Thursday, Jan. 25, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Full Fledged Brewery, 40 Arena Way, Suite 2, Council Bluffs
Wednesday, Jan. 31, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at One Farm Market, 217 E. Seventh St., Logan
Attendees will have an opportunity to network with peers who work in local foods, either directly or indirectly, and will gain knowledge as well as build their network of neighbors.

“We hope that anyone attending these events will be able to meet farmers and other local food producers and learn about what they do and how they contribute to their community,” said Angelyn Wang, local foods associate with the Center for Rural Affairs. “We are interested in building communities around local foods and look for every opportunity to support local farmers and food producers.”

Registration is required in advance. Contact Angelyn Wang at 402.870.1721 or angelynw@cfra.org with any questions. Visit cfra.org/events for additional details.
