Happy Holidays from the Center for Rural Affairs

Everyone at the Center for Rural Affairs wishes you a wonderful Christmas and Holiday season and extends to you our best wishes for the coming year.
We are truly blessed to be located in such a wonderful and supporting community such as Lyons. And it’s the people and the way of life in Lyons and other rural communities across the nation that we will continue to work so hard for. So that not only we can know the joys of rural life, but to ensure that our children and grandchildren may know the joys of rural life as well.

The New Year will start with lots of excitement.  In the waning days of the farm bill debate, we will continue the fight for real reform and investments in the future of rural America. On February 27 at the New World Inn in Columbus we will host the second annual and extremely successful MarketPlace: Opening Doors to Success, an entrepreneurial and small business conference that packed in over 500 people last year in Kearney. And on March 29 we will hold the Winds of Life: Windmills across Nebraska auction at the Minden Opera House.

We have great hope and many plans for 2008. The Center will continue to fight hard to support family farms and ranches; to support rural entrepreneurial development and we are determined to provide the next generation with the opportunity to live a better life in rural America.

The Center for Rural Affairs is a private nonprofit organization specializing in strengthening small businesses, rural communities, and family farms and ranches.
