A leading force engaging people and ideas in building a better future for rural America.
Born and raised in Lewiston, Minnesota, a small city of 1,600 people, I have seen the issues rural folks face, and have witnessed their voices often being downplayed. Working with the Center for Rural Affairs gives me the opportunity to help make that change in rural America.
I serve in southern Minnesota to help grow the Center for Rural Affairs' presence in the state, as well as shed light on the policy aspirations of rural residents in that area. I hope to create networks and mechanisms that allow rural residents an opportunity to talk about the issues they face and improve policy outcomes in Minnesota.
Being part of growing a grassroots network to help influence elected representatives to support policies that assist rural citizens means a great deal to me. I also look forward to building relationships with residents in southern Minnesota and bridging the gap in communication between rural voters and elected representatives.
