Griselda Rendon
Latino Loan Specialist
Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP)

I was born in Mexico and moved to the U.S. at a young age. I graduated from Lexington Senior High in Lexington, Nebraska, and attended Central Community College, Bellevue University, and Grand Island College. My family and I make our home in Grand Island.

My background in insurance, banking, and working with different ethnic groups is a tremendous help. From meeting with clients for technical assistance to creating and packaging loans, I rely on my education and experience all the time.

I cover a large territory - Southeast and Southwest Nebraska. Mostly I work with Latino small business owners. I feel well placed as Grand Island, Hastings, Crete, Lexington, Imperial, and Gibbon have a large presence of Latino residents. I expect exceptional growth with the Latino Business Center given the high number of entrepreneurs in my region.

Assisting our clients to fulfill their dream of having their own business is the best. It’s always rewarding to know that because of information I provided, a new business was started. I am grateful for all the wonderful partners we work with to make this a reality.

Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my family and attending to their activities. As a mother of three very active kids, I typically go from a soccer game to a gymnastics practice to a show choir competition, with hardly a moment to spare.
