Small businesses are the backbone of rural communities: Small scale entrepreneurship is a proven strategy to revitalize rural communities. Owning one’s own business can create genuine opportunity across rural America with the support of a modest public investment.

Female catheterization product wins Nebraska InnovateHER 2017 Challenge: SimpleCath, a medical device that helps catheterize females, was the focus of the winning presentation at the Nebraska InnovateHER 2017 Challenge hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center.

Addressing your small business concerns: lack of employees: We heard concerns from small business owners and providers across Nebraska in our latest biennial Small Business Needs Assessment survey. We sat down with Randy Kissinger, Nebraska Department of Labor Regional Manager, to address one of them: Nebraska businesses are inhibited from growing because of the lack of employees.

REAP Women's Business Center: Eight trainings recently completed, more planned: Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center continues to partner with local organizations to offer “Online Marketing Strategies.”
