HARTINGTON, NEBRASKA – A two-day Basic QuickBooks workshop will be offered to local entrepreneurs and business owners on Monday, April 29, and Monday, May 6. This event is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center, the Nebraska Enterprise Fund, and Hartington Development Corporation.

Each session is set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Hartington Public Library, 106 S. Broadway Ave., in Hartington.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of an entrepreneur’s business,” said Kim Preston, REAP Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Small business owners will learn how to track income and expenses, set up a company file, create customers and vendors, generate reports, and use other QuickBooks features. Diann Ballard will lead the course.

Registration is required by April 26. To register, contact Kim Preston at 402.687.2100 ext. 1008 or wbc@cfra.org.
