LYONS, NEBRASKA – An Advanced QuickBooks workshop will be offered to local entrepreneurs and business owners on Monday, Feb. 25. This free event is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and Lyons Public Library.

This session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Lyons Public Library, 305 N. Main Street, in Lyons. Computers will be provided.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of an entrepreneur’s business,” said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Small business owners will learn how to expand on advanced features of QuickBooks such as: customizing templates; filtering reports; running payroll; tracking fixed assets; setting up loans; and much more.

Kelly Abrahams of ASK Bookkeeping will lead the course. Registration is required by Feb. 22. Contact wbc@cfra.org.
