CRETE, NEBRASKA – A town hall with newly-elected Sen. Tom Brandt is set for Friday, Dec. 14. This free, public event is hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs at Crete City Hall, 243 E. 13th St., Crete, Nebraska, beginning at noon.

The senator-elect will be available to talk with constituents about the issues that matter to them. Senator-elect Brandt will also take time to answer questions regarding his legislative priorities and what issues he foresees on the horizon for the 2019 Nebraska legislative session.

“This town hall will provide constituents with the opportunity to meet with the senator-elect before he takes office,” said Jordan Rasmussen, policy manager at the Center for Rural Affairs. “This session, senators will make important decisions that impact everything from school funding to property tax relief and rural broadband development.”

Nebraska’s 32nd district includes the counties of Fillmore, Jefferson, Saline, Thayer, and the southwest portion of Lancaster County. Local residents are invited to join the conversation.

“It is important for Senator-elect Brandt to hear from residents as he transitions into his role as a Nebraska state senator,” Rasmussen said. “The policies enacted this session will directly impact the lives of every District 32 constituent.”

For more information or to RSVP, contact Rasmussen at 402.687.2100 ext. 1032 or jordanr@cfra.org. A light lunch will served.
