O'NEILL, NEBRASKA – A Basic QuickBooks workshop will be offered to local entrepreneurs and business owners on Monday, Dec. 3. This free event is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center and Holt County Economic Development.

The session will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at Holt County Economic Development Office, 330 E Hancock St., in O'Neill. Computers will be provided.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of an entrepreneur’s business,” said Kim Preston, REAP Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Small business owners will learn how to utilize the software for tracking their income and expenses, set up company files, create customers, vendors, run reports, and utilize the banking features. The morning will be spent working with income and expenses. The afternoon will focus on balance sheet accounts.

Patty Barstow will lead the course. Registration is required by Nov. 30. Contact Kristi Peterson at kristi@growholt.com or 402.336.1504.
