NORFOLK, NEBRASKA – Entrepreneurs are invited to attend a lunch and learn workshop organized by the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) and Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce.

“Social Media - Find Out Why You Should Be Online,” is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 13, from noon to 3 p.m., at Norfolk Area Chamber of Commerce, 609 W. Norfolk Avenue, in Norfolk.

Lunch will be served from noon to 1 p.m., along with a discussion. The session will continue with an exploration of business websites, email, and social media.

“Many small business owners get caught up trying to use social media, but then forget the basic necessity of having a broader online presence," said Kim Preston, REAP Women’s Business Center director. “Eighty-one percent of shoppers conduct online searches before buying. This session will help potential clients see only the best of your business in those searches.”
