LYONS, NEBRASKA – A two-day QuickBooks workshop will be offered to local entrepreneurs and business owners on Monday, Nov. 5, and Monday, Nov. 12. This free event is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center.

Both sessions are limited to five attendees, and will take place from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Lyons Public Library, 305 Main Street, in Lyons. Computers will be provided.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of a small business owner’s business,” said Kim Preston, REAP Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Small business owners will learn how to utilize the software for tracking their income and expenses, set up company files, create customers, vendors, run reports, and utilize the banking features.

Kelly Abrahams of ASK Bookkeeping will lead the course. Registration is required by Nov. 2, 2018. Contact Abrahams at askbookkeeper@gmail.com or 402.720.7684.
