Small business trainings set in Randolph

RANDOLPH, NEBRASKA – Three free workshops are scheduled for local entrepreneurs and business owners in the Randolph area. These events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs, Lied Randolph Public Library, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at Lied Randolph Public Library, 111 N. Douglas St., in Randolph.

  • Basic QuickBooks: Wednesday, Sept. 19 and 26, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Wednesday, Oct. 3, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of a small business,” said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

The use of laptops and software will be provided.
