Small business trainings set in Pender

PENDER, NEBRASKA – Several free workshops are scheduled for local entrepreneurs and business owners in the Pender area. These events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and House Memorial Library.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at House Memorial Library, 220 S. Thurston Ave., in Pender.

  • Basic QuickBooks: Wednesday, Aug. 14, and Wednesday, Aug. 21, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Wednesday, Aug. 28, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Wednesday, Sept. 4, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“There is always something new to learn about QuickBooks and Excel,” said Anna Pratt, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center Director. “These classes will provide attendees with skills necessary to maintain accurate records of business financials, a crucial component of sound business management.” 

Diann Ballard from db-Consulting, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska, will instruct the course. The use of laptops and software will be provided.
