LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – Veterans looking to own their own business are invited to “Boots to Business Reboot: An Intro to Business Ownership” on Saturday, June 23, 2018, from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Gere Branch Library, 2400 S 56th Street, Lincoln, Nebraska.

The free training for both veterans and civilians is hosted by the Center for Rural Affairs, U.S. Small Business Administration, and SCORE.

Attendees will be provided with basic business knowledge, including an overview of the entrepreneurial process, what goes into a business plan, basic business economics, selecting a legal entity, and financing options. The last hour of the presentation will be a resource panel question and answer session.

"Planning is key to success in business," said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center interim director. “This event is designed for entrepreneurs thinking of starting a business, or existing owners who are just beginning their ventures. There will be an emphasis on veterans looking to own their own businesses.”
