Newman’s Own Foundation will Match Your Generosity!

Giving Tuesday is a one day, worldwide online fundraiser. It’s a day of giving back after Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

We had great success during last year’s Giving Tuesday, and this year we’re even more excited. The generous folks at Newman’s Own Foundation will match every dollar given to the Center online from November 24 until December 1, up to $10,000.

Farming Fits Veterans and Veterans Fit Farming

The Center for Rural Affairs has worked to support and assist beginning farmers and ranchers for over 25 years. And increasingly, beginning farmer and rancher inquiries come from military veterans. They have the same needs as other new farmers: access to land, financing and information. But they also bring new issues: disabilities, returning to civilian life, a drive to help fellow veterans, a powerful sense of wanting to be of service to their country.

Artfully Rural: Unveiling of Public Artworks in Northeastern Nebraska ⇒ Public Invited!

It'll be two exciting and artful days for two Northeast Nebraska communities in Burt County. Two separate public artworks will be unveiled on Sunday, November 1 in Decatur, and Monday, November 2 in Lyons. The projects, part of the Byway of Art project, are a collaborative effort by the Center for Rural Affairs, artist Matthew Mazzotta, and the communities. It was made possible by support from ArtPlace America.
