Over the top on Giving Tuesday with 12 minutes to spare

Small Towns

Wow, $10,335 in one week. Newman’s Own Foundation matched $10,000 of that, so $20,335 was raised for the betterment of rural America. This is the most successful online fundraiser we’ve ever held, and that is only because of you, our supporters. We cannot express our gratitude and thanks enough.

We made it under the wire (12 minutes, to be exact). Trust us when we say we sincerely dislike overloading your inbox with fundraising emails. But we know you believe in our work and want to see our programs succeed.

The money you raised will be used to help fund projects like Farm to School. The Farm to School movement believes that local food sourcing and food and agriculture education should be available for all school children.

This is one of our most popular areas of work. Not only because of the hardworking, stellar staff that does the work every day, but because of people like you who believe in and support it.

Thank you to our longtime supporters who agreed to make special gifts. You took your time and resources to get us over the hump to attract new supporters to our work.

New donors - thank you for taking the leap. Every time we saw a new donor, we gave a “Woop!” for you. Our common values for a better rural America are what makes the fight worth it. We sincerely hope you’ll continue with us on this journey supporting rural America.

Finally, thank you to the generous people at Newman’s Own Foundation. Their matching dollars inspired people to make gifts by showing faith in our work. Without them, we wouldn’t see the gains made possible for rural America this week.

With all of our thanks,

The entire Center for Rural Affairs Team
