Wayne to host small business trainings

WAYNE, NEBRASKA – Entrepreneurs and business owners in the Wayne area are invited to a series of workshops focused on small business training. These free events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and Wayne Public Library.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at Wayne Public Library, 410 N. Pearl St., in Wayne.

  • Basic QuickBooks (two-day event): Wednesdays, Oct. 9 and 16, from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Wednesday, Oct. 30, from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Introduction to Publisher: Wednesday, Nov. 6, from 5 to 8 p.m.

“There is always something new to learn about QuickBooks and Excel,” said Anna Pratt, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “In the Publisher class, attendees will learn how to utilize templates, photos, shapes, and other tools to spice up their designs.”

Diann Ballard from db-Consulting, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska, will instruct the courses. The use of laptops and software will be provided.

Registration is required one day in advance of each workshop.
