Small business trainings set in Wayne

WAYNE, NEBRASKA – Several free workshops are scheduled for local entrepreneurs and business owners in the Wayne area. These events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and the Wayne Public Library.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at the Wayne Public Library, 410 N. Pearl St., in Wayne.

  • Basic QuickBooks: Thursday, Oct. 25 and Thursday, Nov. 1, 5 to 8 p.m. (a two-day course)
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Thursday, Nov. 8, 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Thursday, Nov. 15, 5 to 8 p.m.  

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of an entrepreneur’s business,” said Kim Preston, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Diann Ballard from db-Consulting, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska, will instruct the course. The use of laptops and software will be provided.
