Small business trainings set in Hartington

HARTINGTON, NEBRASKA – Free workshops are scheduled for local entrepreneurs and business owners in the Hartington area. These events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and Hartington Public Library.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at Hartington Public Library, 106 S. Broadway Ave., in Hartington.

  • Basic QuickBooks (two-day event): Wednesdays, Sept. 11 and 18, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Wednesday, Sept. 25, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Wednesday, Oct. 2, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“QuickBooks and Excel contain useful tools for anyone with a need or interest in financial management,” said Anna Pratt, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “Class attendees will learn skills necessary to maintain accurate records of business financials, a crucial component of sound business management.”

Diann Ballard from db-Consulting, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska, will instruct the course. The use of laptops and software will be provided.
