Small business trainings set in Crofton

CROFTON, NEBRASKA – Several free workshops are scheduled for local entrepreneurs and business owners in the Crofton area. These events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs and the City of Crofton.

Each session is limited to 10 attendees, and will take place at Crofton Auditorium, 1210 W. 2nd St., in Crofton.

  • Basic QuickBooks: Monday, Aug. 12, and Monday, Aug. 19, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced QuickBooks: Monday, Aug. 26, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
  • Advanced Excel: Tuesday, Sept. 3, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

“Accurate recordkeeping can be beneficial to the success of an entrepreneur’s business,” said Anna Pratt, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “Recordkeeping can quickly identify past due accounts and help collect those accounts in a more timely manner. That helps cash flow and viability.”

Diann Ballard from db-Consulting, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska, will instruct the course. The use of laptops and software will be provided.
