LYONS, NEBRASKA – Nebraska entrepreneurs are invited to two online workshops, one focused on accounting practices, and another focused on optimizing business plans. These free events are sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs.

Both workshops will occur via online video conference. “Troubleshooting Accounting” is set for Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m, and “Business Plan Review” is set for Thursday, Aug. 13, from 4 to 6 p.m.

“These workshops focus on accounting and business planning—two aspects that haven’t slowed down for small business owners in our state,” said Jessica Campos, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “We are proud to continue to hold free trainings, such as these, to assist these entrepreneurs in any way we can.”

In "Troubleshooting Accounting," participants will see a demonstration of QuickBooks and learn about balance sheets and income statements, how they should appear, and how to rectify issues if they are incorrect.

In "Business Plan Review," entrepreneurs can review their business plans to see what can be changed, updated, or tweaked to boost their bottom line.

Diann Ballard, from db-Consulting, LLC, of Pender, Nebraska, will instruct these courses.

Registration for both events is required one day in advance; sign up at cfra.org/events
