LINCOLN, NEBRASKA – An eight-day Cleaning Academy workshop is scheduled for local entrepreneurs and business owners in Lincoln. This event will be offered in Spanish and is sponsored by the Center for Rural Affairs.

Cleaning Academy is set for March 5, 12, 19 and 26, and April 2, 16, 23, and 30. Sessions will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. each Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon each Saturday.

There is no charge for the class, to be held at El Centro de las Americas, 210 O St., in Lincoln.

“In this course, attendees will learn how to start their own cleaning business,” said Jessica Campos, Center for Rural Affairs Women’s Business Center director. “We’ll talk about the right chemicals to use and safety guidelines, in addition to an opportunity to get certified with the Cleaning Management Institute.”

Mabel Alarcon-Craven will present the class. 

Registration is required by Feb. 27.
