Attend the BIZ IDEA Summit February 21, 2012 in Kearney (for 10th-12th graders)


Enter a pitch video competition that showcases current youth businesses or youth entrepreneurial ventures (for middle school through high school)




BIZ IDEA Summit | Tuesday, February 21, 2012 | 9:30-2:15 pm
New this year, our youth entrepreneurship conference is focused on IDEAS (Innovation, Dialogue, Entrepreneurship, Action). It is targeted to high school aged entrepreneurs.

What is this and why should we attend
A day intended to stimulate Innovation and business ideas development; to engage in dialogue; to raise entrepreneurial action; and to recognize distinctive visions, efforts, accomplishments and impacts of youth-led businesses in celebration of Entrepreneurship Week

Who should attend
Young people in 10th – 12th grades gather from across the state, particularly from rural areas. All youth are invited to attend, particularly those in business, innovation and entrepreneurship-related courses or those with such interests.

Registration Information
Up to 10 students per school may register along with faculty. The event is limited to the first 100 students registered. Complete and return BIZ IDEA Summit Registration Form with $15/per person payment by February 13th. Please call Shawnna at 402.873.4027 if you would like to register more than 10 students.

NOTE: Portable electronic devices (cell phones, tablets, ipads, etc.) ARE ENCOURAGED! Attendees will be asked to use their mobile devices for mobile voting functions as well as for creating audio and/or video segments during the day's activities. We will have several computer stations set up for those who do not have their devices; however we hope that usage will be minimal. Multiple voting by one phone will be permissible (i.e. more than one student may enter their votes using the same phone).
