What’s involved with hiring a new employee? Are in you in compliance? A workshop for business owners interested in learning about everything involved in the employee hiring process will answer all these questions and more.

What: Employee hiring workshop

Where: Holt County Economic Development, O'Neill Historic Depot Building, 330 E Hancock St., O'Neill, Nebraska

When: Two sessions will be offered Monday, July 23: from noon to 2 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m.

Cost: Free

Attendees will learn about paperwork to complete when hiring a new employee; employer reporting requirements for various federal and state government agencies; payroll taxes; workers’ compensation insurance; and overtime rules.

Presenter J’Nan Ensz is a certified public accountant and managing member of Accounting & Business Consulting Group, LLC, near Beatrice, Nebraska.
