CANCELLED - Women Caring for the Land - Omaha, Neb.

Wednesday, March 21, 2018

Unfortunately, this session has been canceled. For those still interested in attending, please check out the two sessions in Council Bluffs on March 20, at 11:30 a.m. or 5:30 p.m.

Women who live in the Omaha area and own or manage farmland are invited to a conservation discussion focused on soil health and conservation practices.

Maintaining healthy soil is the key to productivity and environmental health for our farmland. Women landowners who attend this meeting will learn to assess and improve the health of their soil. There is no obligation to pursue any new management style.

Who: Women non-operator owners who own more than 40 acres, may have inherited farmland, or are feeling overwhelmed with all of the decisions of farmland management will find this event especially helpful.

When: Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where: Big Muddy Urban Farm
            3215 California St.
            Omaha, Neb. 68131

Space is limited (sorry, no walk-ins). The cost of the workshop is $10 and includes lunch.

Contact Kathie Starkweather to register at kathies@cfra.org or 402.617.5349 before noon on March 15.

This meeting is made possible with funding from a Conservation Innovation Grant from the Natural Resources Conservation Service.
