North Platte, NE -  The Center for Rural Affairs’ Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP) Women’s Business Center in collaboration with Mid Plains Center for Enterprise is planning a five-week Business Plan Basics course starting April 26, 2016.  The course will be held on Tuesday evenings in April and May from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in room 202 at Mid Plains Community College-North Campus, 1101 Halligan Drive, North Platte, NE. The instructor for the course will be Kathy Bourque, Small Biz Coach, Leadership Dev., Speaker, Training Facilitator.

The workshop series includes the following key topics: Marketing, Promotion/Advertising, Financial Management, Legal Structures/Contracts, and Business Online Presence. REAP collaborates with the NxLeveL Education Organization utilizing their curriculum called "Growing Your Business."
 "Planning is a key to success in business, and the five hands-on exploratory sessions are designed for those thinking of starting a business and for small business owners that want to create a business plan or update one.  Sessions will cover important information that can assist in completing a business plan," commented Nancy Flock, REAP Loan Specialist.

The Rural Enterprise Assistance Project provides lending, training, networking, and technical assistance opportunities for start-up and existing small businesses. Business owners that complete the course and the business plan are eligible for REAP’s Business Plan Basics Boost Loan of up to $1,000 at 5.5%.
