There's a new paper in town - all of your towns. It's called the Daily Yonder, and it aims to be a paper for the 55 million of us that live in the rural U.S. The site is characterized by rural news, commentary, original research, and a spattering of appearance by other rural bloggers.
Variety abounds at Daily Yonder. There's a picture of a church ablaze in small town, Edinburg, North Dakota (a stunning photo, really), commentary on the 2007 Farm Bill (in case you haven't had your fill yet), feature stories on the rural politics of running for president (the Yonder's sought-after specialty), news on rural economic development (the news isn't good), and more.
We've added Daily Yonder to the blog roll on the right.
