About: If you are a grain and livestock producer, farmer, or beginning farmer and you’ve thought about starting a certified organic operation but don’t know where or how to start, this training will help you learn about the certified organic and organic transition process.
In August, we will be featuring expert speakers and farmers from the Northern Great Plains region, who will help you navigate just about everything from marketing, business planning to organic crop production.
Join us for the opportunity to go on a field day at a certified organic operation, enjoy a community night featuring a farm-to-table dinner, and network with regional agricultural institutions and extension agents.
Farmer participants will receive a $200 stipend for attending.
Cost: Free
When: Friday, Aug. 18, and Saturday, Aug. 19, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
