Sharing Ideas About Community

Many of America’s rural communities face stern challenges. Rural Southeast Nebraska, like much of rural Nebraska, is no different. But many communities in this region are also meeting these challenges with determination, perseverance and innovative, visionary ideas.
Do you have ideas, hopes or concerns about the future and vitality of your rural community? At the Center for Rural Affairs we believe that solutions to the challenges our rural communities face will be found on our country roads and rural mainstreets and we are always working to find and encourage new ideas and share our own as well.

That is why we are holding a community conversation and reception on Friday, September 21st in Tecumseh, Nebraska. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m. at the St. John Lutheran Church, 1260 Webster Street, Tecumseh, NE. Center staff and board members will be on hand for conversation and questions about the work of the Center for Rural Affairs. Most importantly, we hope to hear from local residents and exchange ideas about the opportunities and challenges on the horizon for Southeast Nebraska.

Please join us to find out more about the Center, share ideas about revitalizing rural mainstreets and strengthening family farms and ranches, and, of course, to have a good time. Light refreshments will be served.

We would love to hear from you before the event. Let us know if you plan on joining us, RSVP to elishas@cfra.org or call 402-687-2100. For more information on the Center for Rural Affairs visit www.cfra.org.
