My New Years Resolution for Rural Nebraska: Attend MarketPlace

It’s the start of a new year and with that comes resolutions. Generally we resolve to do the same thing year after year, but before the holiday decorations even come down, our well intended plans have been forgotten. Whether you own a small business, farm or ranch, or just want your community to thrive, here is a resolution you can easily follow through and see immediate results – attend the second annual MarketPlace entrepreneurship conference.
MarketPlace is a one-day event presented by the Center for Rural Affairs and our many partners focusing on strengthening small businesses and rural communities. The conference offers training, networking, and professional development for startup and existing small businesses, service providers, rural communities, and family farmers and ranchers. The conference will be held in Columbus, NE on February 27th at the New World Inn.

Here is a comment from Alan Mais (owner of The Camera Doctor in Kearney), about last year’s conference: I wanted to "Thank you" for the MarketPlace event. It was definitely worth closing our store for a day for all the information we received. I believe many, many other attendee's felt the same way. The time spent in attendance delivered three new clients and may have made us multi thousands of dollars through "Nebraska Advantage" courtesy of Bill Roe of the Nebraska Dept of Revenue.

Exhibiting at MarketPlace is also an excellent opportunity to reach a professional audience seeking opportunities to grow their businesses. Register to attend or exhibit at www.cfra.org/marketplace/home . Early registration ends January 27th.
