We’ve been working hard to put together a great program for this year’s
MarketPlace: Opening Doors to Success event. Things are moving along very well. This year we’re holding MarketPlace on Feb. 27, 2008, at the New World Inn in Columbus, Nebraska.
People have begun registering and making their hotel accommodations. Early bird registration lasts until January 27 – $25 for an individual, $15 for one guest; $15 for students and teachers. Register now to take advantage of these bargain rates at
www.cfra/org/marketplace/registration. Rates double after Jan. 27.
Based on comments from last year, we are switching things up at lunch. People really wanted to use this time for continued networking, so we are incorporating “Table Topics” into the noon break – food for the mind as well as the body.
Tables will be identified with various topics, and an “expert” will help facilitate the discussion. People interested in that discussion will select and sit at that particular table. So far we have identified the following topics, but there will be more: Entrepreneurial Communities, Economic Gardening/Youth, Media, Beginning Farmers and Ranchers, Tax literacy/Tax credit for small business, Wind Energy. Please share your ideas about topic areas with us (
info@cfra.org).
It was tough to narrow down our choices, but
we are close to finalizing topics and presenters for a great set of teach-in sessions in 7 different tracks – Finance, Marketing, Small Business Development, Hispanic Business Development, Agriculture, and Technology. Look for more specifics on these and an announcement of our keynote speaker next month. And check the Center’s MarketPlace website,
www.cfra.org/marketplace/home for updates in the coming weeks.
