REAP Women’s Business Center Activities
REAP WBC laptops have been making the rounds in Southeast Nebraska. QuickBooks sessions have been held in Tecumseh, Auburn and Nebraska City in collaboration with the Five Rivers RC&D. More sessions are planned, possibly in the Crete and Fairbury areas.
The Merrick County Roundtable group met in May. Those attending updated the group on their business activity. Members discussed business insurance needs. With the many “disasters” happening this spring due to weather conditions, we are reminded that it is essential to assess your business risk and be prepared.
The Columbus REAP Roundtable met in May. Chris Braun, Braun Computer Repair, Humphrey, presented excellent information on so¬cial media marketing and using Google analytics as a tool. It is important to track when (time of day) visits to your business website occur, where visitors are coming from and how long they stay.
Websites must be updated regularly for “fresh content.” Braun told the group the average read time for emails is 22 minutes. The average response time for a text message is 91 seconds. Text messages seem to be the next wave in marketing, but texting should be used wisely. Know your target market and tailor your marketing efforts accordingly.
