Rural Main Street Call on REAP when you are thinking of starting a small business or if you already operate a small business in Nebraska.

Through REAP you can create a business plan, research potential markets and marketing ideas, discuss management issues with experienced business specialists, and apply for a small business loan.

Started in 1990, REAP has provided business development services to over 10,000 micro businesses. (A micro business is defined as one with 5 or fewer employees.)

REAP has placed over $5 million in loans and leveraged over $11 million in additional funds from other sources due to our assistance.

Events

REAP Business Plan Basics Training in Plattsmouth, Nebraska Sessions will cover the basics of marketing, customer relations, financial management, advertising and promotion, and goal setting. Classes are Tuesday evenings from Sep. 14 to Oct. 12.

MarketPlace: Opening Doors to Success The 5th Annual MarketPlace will be held at the Ramada Inn Convention Center in Kearney, Nebraska on Feb. 22 and 23, 2011. MarketPlace is an event totally focused on energizing small businesses and rural communities. The conference features strong, hands-on learning opportunities for potential and existing business owners.

History seems to repeat itself, and this was evident to Rick Camacho Sr. just a year ago. He worked for a construction business that was busy eliminating departments and reducing jobs, including his. With encouragement from his business contacts, Rick decided to start up his own business.


Meet Gina and Bradley Babb of Ord, Nebraska. In 2008 they took over Brad's family business with the crucial help of Rural Enterprise Assistance Program (REAP). They were featured in a documentary produced by the Association for Enterprise Opportunity to demonstrate the importance of microenterprise development across America.
