Seward County Business Fair a Success!
The Second Annual Seward County Business Fair held in June in Seward was deemed a success by those attending. Read what attendees had to say at the Seward County Business Fair Blog and see photos of the fair to the right.
Eighteen service providers were available to answer questions about starting up or expanding a business. Approximately 21 attendees spent their time getting one-on-one attention and networking with others throughout the day.
Informative Q/A sessions were presented throughout the afternoon into the evening. A local attorney discussed advantages and disadvantages to various legal structures. Local business owners shared their experience marketing retail products. Assessing risk was addressed by local insurance agents.
Attendees learned more about “cooperatives” and joining forces in producing and marketing products. And let’s not forget the importance of recordkeeping! One session addressed the need for accurate and timely bookkeeping practices.
Event sponsors included the Seward Area Chamber of Commerce, the Seward Economic Development Corporation, the Rural Enterprise Assistance Project and the Southeast Nebraska Development District. Plans are being made for the Third Annual Seward County Business Fair scheduled for June 9, 2010.
