Computer and Internet Skills Workshops

The Center For Rural Affairs and University of Nebraska Extension are bringing a series of computer skill-building workshops to the Northeast Nebraska communities of Bancroft, Decatur, Lyons, Pender, Rosalie and Thurston.

The workshops will be held in the University of Nebraska BIT Mobile – a self contained mobile computer lab. Sessions will explore:
  • How to use a computer
  • How to browse and use the Internet
  • Using spreadsheets in your business
  • Web 2.0 tools
  • Social networking
  • Designing web pages
  • Podcasting
  • Digital photography and more

Sessions will take place in:
  • Bancroft from Feb. 8-12
  • Lyons on Feb 16 and Mar. 8-9
  • Pender from Mar 16-19
  • Rosalie from Mar. 23-24
  • Decatur from Apr. 6-7
  • Thurston from Apr. 13-14

The workshops are part of the Building Entrepreneurial Communities project, whose goal is to grow local citizens, businesses and communities. This project is funded by a Building Entrepreneurial Grant and is supported by the Center for Rural Affairs and University of Nebraska Extension.
